‘Tired’ Queen heads to Balmoral in bid to rise above Harry book scandal

An “incredibly tired” Queen has reportedly headed to Balmoral for a badly needed break after Harry’s memoir news delivered another blow while she continues to grieve the death of Prince Philip, a royal insider has said.

The surprise announcement was made this week that the Duke of Sussex was writing a memoir which promised more revelations about his past and it was reported that even members of the Royal Family hadn’t even been tipped off about it.

Considering the heavily critical interviews he has given in the US since moving to California about life as a royal, there is believed to be concern in royal circles about what new revelations he has in store.

Now, the Queen, 95, has gone to Scotland to escape the stress from the fallout of the memoir news, The Sun reports.

The Queen is still grieving the loss of her husband Phlip in April

A Sun source said: “She could not wait to get away. She is still grieving very deeply and wanted to head to Balmoral to escape from things. She is also incredibly tired.

“The announcement of Harry’s book, and the new claims that he could release four books, are the last thing she needed.

“It is only just over three months since Philip was buried , so the book announcement is incredibly insensitive and seems another two fingers to the monarchy.

The source said that the Queen’s advice to news of the book was to keep calm and not react to it.

The memoir is due to come out next year and will coincide with the Queen’s platinum jubilee.

The relationship between Harry and other members of the Royal Family is fraught with little communication since the Sussexes moved to California last year.
