Good Morning Britain host Ben Shephard recently underwent surgery after he ruptured his ACL, tore his meniscus and fractured his leg during a football match
Kate Garraway teased her Good Morning Britain host Ben Shephard as they hosted the ITV breakfast show together on Wednesday.
As the pair joined the programme at 6:30am, Kate couldn’t resist talking about Ben’s recent leg injury.
The 46-year-old underwent surgery after he ruptured his ACL, tore his meniscus and fractured his leg during a football match.
Mum-of-two Kate began: “I’ve now seen the scars. You’ve been banging on about it all week!”
Ben quickly interjected: “My knee, she’s talking about my knee!”
“Yeah I’m talking about his knee,” Kate continued. “And on social media, and he came in in shorts today and I’ve gotta say, it’s impressive and horrible!”
“Yeah I’ll spare you at breakfast, but I have taken the strappings off, they were still on there,” Ben told GMB viewers.
Earlier this month, Ben shared photos and videos to his Instagram Stories of himself in hospital before returning home to his wife-of-17-years Annie.
Addressing everyone’s get well messages, he said: “Thank you everybody for your lovely messages, it’s been lovely to think that you all care. If it’s at all possible, could you send some of that love to my wife because she’s the one that’s really struggling.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
