Kate Beckinsale has been reunited with her daughter Lily in New York after spending two years apart due to the pandemic.
Lily arrived at JFK airport with her boyfriend David Schecter wearing a mask, white t-shirt, loose fitting khaki trousers and chunky black boots.
The couple were met by an overjoyed Kate, who while also wearing a mask looked stunning wearing a black blazer and trousers, which she teamed with some white stilettos.
The Underworld star, 47, appeared on US TV’s Live with Kelly and Ryan on Friday when she told the show’s hosts about the enforced absence with her daughter.
Speaking about the ordeal Kate said: “I haven’t seen my daughter for two years because of everything. Also, I went to Canada working and she couldn’t come see me.
She joked that she’d kept in touch with her daughter via online chats., but she said she was apprehensive about having a real-life reunion.
“Two years of not seeing your child is the most preposterous thought. Thank god for FaceTime and all that, but we’re both panicking that we’ll look really old to each other,” she admitted.
“My daughter is 22 but looks eight!” she added. “So she’s like, ‘I’m just worried that you’re going to think I look old’, but I’m going to look old.”
Kate lives in Essex but flew to Canada at the start of this year to film a new TV series called Jolt.
Lily, whose father is Welsh actor Michael Sheen lives in New York and is starting a career on screen of her own.
Her latest role is opposite Hollywood legend Nicolas Cage in an action-comedy called The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

“It sounds very wild. She’s off and running. It’s quite scary.”
When Ryan asked Kate if she’d had any advice about following in her footsteps, she joked: “I said ‘Be a doctor’, and then this happened. “
Kate is reported to have spent the pandemic living on her own after splitting up with her boyfriend, Canadian musician Goody Grace, 24, last year.
Richard sadly passed away following a heart attack aged just 31 in 1979 when Kate was a five-year-old girl and leaving wife Judy a widow.
