Dolly Parton has rolled back the years to surprise her husband on his 79th birthday.
The country singer, 75, donned black bunny ears, a black strapless bodysuit and a pink and white bow tie as she recreated her iconic Playboy cover shoot from 1978.
And sharing her marvellous recreation with her 5.2 million Twitter followers, she confessed that it’s “always hotgirl summer” for her hubby Carl Dean in their household.
She wore the outfit after previously claiming that she wanted to make the cover of the magazine once again when she turned 75.
But as the printed magazine no longer exists, she treated her man of over 50 years to a brilliant throwback.
She said: “Today is July 20th, it’s my husband Carl’s birthday and you’re probably wondering why I’m dressed like this. Well, it’s for my husband’s birthday.
“I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy. He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years and I’m not gonna try to talk him out of that and I hope he agrees.”
She cheekily asked her fans what they thought, and many followers and famous faces quickly took to the comment section of the post the share their appreciation of the Jolene singer.
Mrs Brown’s Boys star Rory Cowan wrote: “I love it. Fabulous.”
American news anchor Stephanie Simoni commented: “Just when you think Dolly can’t get any better.”
And actress Reagan Gomez put: “Dolly said she on her #HotGirlSummer. Get like Dolly.”
In March last year, shortly before the last edition of the Playboy magazine, Dolly told 60 Minutes Australia: “Well, I don’t plan to retire. I just turned 74 and I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again.
“See, I did Playboy magazine years ago. I thought it would be such a hoot, if they’ll go for it – I don’t know if they will – if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75.”
Instead of appearing on the official pages, Dolly instead made a mock-up of the magazine and presented it to her beau in a frame alongside the original.
The glamorous singer recently revealed that she sleeps in her makeup in case there is an earthquake.
Dolly says she refuses to clean her face before she goes to bed because she doesn’t want people to see her without her makeup on if there’s an emergency which means she has to quickly leave her home.
The music legend admitted to WSJ Magazine : “I do all my beauty work and cleaning my face in the morning because I usually try to keep my makeup on at night.”
