This summer should be a big one for Chelsea.
Now, owner Roman Abramovich appears to once again be willing to splash the cash in a bid to bridge the gap between the West London outfit and Premier League title holders Manchester City, who they beat in the UCL final.
With the likes of Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski linked, the striking position seems to be one of Tuchel’s transfer priorities, but the departures of Olivier Giroud and Fikayo Tomori have given credence to it also being a busy window at the exit door for all departments.
Funds cannot just come from the Russian owner’s back pocket, so sales ahead of the new season are inevitable.
Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest transfer news surrounding Stamford Bridge.
Hudson-Odoi’s transfer stance
Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place under Tuchel.
The Sun report that the £100k-a-week winger wants to remain in west London for at least another year after struggling for game time under the German manager.
Bayern Munich have long coveted the 20-year-old, leading to reports of a potential swap deal with Kingsley Coman being on the cards.
Coman, a Frenchman in the same positional mould as Hudson-Odoi, is reportedly unhappy in Bavaria, not feeling appreciated enough despite his consistent performances at the Allianz Arena since signing, initially, on loan, in 2016.
With two years remaining on his current contract, Bayern are said to be demanding €100 million (£86.5m), just over the £70m they bid less than a year ago for Hudson-Odoi.
The academy graduate’s recent stance has scuppered the chances of that, though, and he seemingly wants to become one of Tuchel’s most trusted attackers.

Blues eye Bundesliga star
Chelsea may have found an alternative to Haaland or Lewandowski in the form of another Bundesliga striker: Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic.
Borussia Dortmund’s demands for the Norweigan, who turns 21 today, are astronomical, with reports suggesting the German club would ask for almost £200 million to secure his services this summer.
Meanwhile, Bayern would likely demand big money for their Polish hitman.
Kalajdzic netted 17 goals in all competitions in 2020-21 and bagged a late consolation goal in Austria’s extra-time Euro 2020 round-of-16 defeat to Italy at Wembley.
The Blues are reportedly considering a move for the marksman, who stands at 6ft 7in, but The Athletic claim a deal with Stuttgart will be difficult as VfB are in no rush to sell their talisman.
At 24, Kalajdzic would still be a youthful option, being much cheaper than Haaland, and he could offer far more years of goalscoring than 32-year-old Lewandowski.
Zappacosta price set
With outgoings prominent in the Blues’ summer business so far, the sales are far from over.
One of those heading out the door could be Davide Zappacosta, who has struggled to make an impact since arriving under Antonio Conte four years ago.
With Inter Milan believed to be interested in the former Torino defender, Chelsea have asked for £10.3m in order to sell, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Loans with Roma and Genoa over the past two terms have firmly cemented his place as an outcast, with his departure looming.
