It looks like Meghan McCain is making an exit from “The View” after nearly four years. The news about her pending departure was announced early Thursday, and she followed up with the official announcement on-air, as she spoke with her co-hosts.
During the show, she said, “I am here to tell all of you my wonderful co-hosts and the viewers at home that this is going to be my last season here at the ‘The View.’ I will be here to the end of July to finish out the season with all of you, which I’m grateful for. This was not an easy decision, it took a lot of thought and counsel and prayer, and talking to my family and close friends.”
She continued, “COVID has changed the world for all of us. And it changed the way, at least for me that I’m looking at life, the way I’m living my life, the way I want to look like, and when I said goodbye to all of you in the studio, I found out I was pregnant. Me and my family came to the D.C. area, and we have this incredible life here. And as any new mom knows, when I think about where I want Liberty to have her first steps, I have a really wonderful life here.”
According to Variety, Meghan is the second longest-running conservative co-host on the show behind Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who was on the show from 2003-2013.
People have already started to speak on who they would like to see as Meghan’s replacement. One person fans named was Tamar Braxton. She retweeted a comment from a fan and asked if people would like to see her on “The View.”
As many of you know, she served as one of the original co-hosts of the daytime talk show “The Real.”
