There are five Nissan Altima models making up the complete range: S, SV, SR, SL, and Platinum. All models are powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a CVT transmission. An AWD system is available for the SV, SR, and SL and is standard on the Platinum. The SR is available with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, only available in FWD format.
The base S is equipped with forward collision warning with automatic braking and pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, intelligent driver alertness, a rearview camera, remote engine start, a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, and a seven-inch infotainment screen with a six-speaker sound system.
The SV trim adds 17-inch alloy wheels, an eight-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, LED headlights, daytime running lights, and safety equipment like rear parking sensors and rear automatic braking.
Being the sporty model in the lineup, the SR gets 19-inch wheels, a rear diffuser, a sportier suspension tune on FWD models, sportier seats, paddle shifters, dark exhaust tips, and the option of upgrading to a more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.
The SL trim adds leather seats with seat heating for front occupants, navigation, traffic sign recognition, LED fog lights, a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, dual-zone climate control, and a Bose nine-speaker premium sound system.
Finally, the advanced Platinum trim comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, a surround-view camera system, a memory function for the driver’s seat and mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a Homelink universal remote.
